Is There a Single Best Natural Heartburn Remedy?

If you are looking for a single best heartburn remedy, the good news is you can choose more than one. Since there are many ways how to get rid of heartburn, the best things you can do is to practice as many measures as you can to make sure you get rid of it once and for all.

Like I said, there are many ways how to get rid of heartburn, and you may employ more than one method.

1. Apple cider vinegar
It has been known for long that apple cider vinegar can be helpful in various conditions like acne, and can even help those who want to lose weight. Of course, heartburn patients can consume it to get rid of their heartburn.

Just drink organic apple cider vinegar before every meal, to get rid of the acids and the heartburn. Expect results in nine months, though.

2. Practical dietary changes
Heartburn can worsen if you eat foods which make the lower esophagus sphincter weaken enough to let the acids pass. Therefore, avoid anything with these types of food: fatty food, oil, grease, mayo, salad dressings, citrus, citrus extracts, meat, dairy products, tomatoes, junk food and onions.

When eating out, it will help if you know by heart the kinds of food to avoid, or if you have some checklist. Of course, have it with you if you are shopping for food, and if you are cooking.

The ones that are good for you are those that are low in fat. Have the meat broiled, roasted or grilled to have less fat content if you’re going to eat meat. Vegetables and legumes are also safe for heartburn.

3. Chewing gum
Chewing gum can offer instant heartburn relief by promoting the secretion of more saliva in the mouth, thus, neutralizing the acids. Other remedies that bear the same effect are honey and aloe juices, which are the same as those prescribed by doctors.

These are only a few natural heartburn remedies that you can try. Of course, not everyone will have the same reaction to the same treatments, so don’t expect to be treated just because they worked for some.

So if you think you tried everything to cure heartburn, don’t give up. I’ve found the best one in my byline, which is worth applying.
